Phase II – Week 28

A lot of concrete has been poured outside, but there’s still quite a bit more to go. The new basketball court is in, and the stairs have been formed up. After that they’ll move on to the rear sidewalks and then the back lot:
The basketball hoop has been replaced thanks to some personal attention from brother Drew Stange, and the hoop is now at 3/4″ over regulation 10 feet. Hope you guys can jump:
The new fire escape doors are in, and the steel is all being painted a color that will hopefully help it disappear into the brickwork:
Around front, the first of the new downspouts are in and they really make the front look sharper than the tired old ones:
The tile crew from Cornhusker Tile & Marble has been kept very busy, and they’re putting in the extra hours necessary to get it done. Once the kitchen is done, they can move on to the two remaining bathrooms:
The epoxy floors are finished throughout the building – tough to get a good picture of, but well worth the investment:
Cabinets for the new kitchenette area have arrived, which means they’ll be installed shortly:
There’s a large pile of doors in the living room, which means they’re being installed on third and second floors:
The new life safety systems are also going in, another sign that the project is getting close to finished:
Finally, we should be getting some of the air conditioning turned on this coming week, as all of the air conditioners are piped and wired:
