Phase II Begins – Week 1

With move-out of the chapter house completed on Monday, December 17th, Cheever was officially handed the keys for Phase II. From the outside it doesn’t look like much has happened in a week, but progress is definitely moving along.
The living room looks a little different with construction equipment loaded. As you can tell, the electricians have been stripping all of the fixtures, outlets, switches, and life safety systems. They also have a great start on removing all of the communications cabling.
Temporary power for construction is being hooked up throughout the building, and eventually temporary lighting will be added too.
The plumbers have also stripped most of the plumbing fixtures from the house. The 2nd and 3rd floor bathrooms are being totally removed, and demolition is well under way.
A lot of progress has also been made on on gutting the bedrooms on the old wing of the house. The lofts and closet systems have been removed, and workers will be moving onto the floors soon.
