Phase I Begins – Week 1

With the beginning of summer, it’s time to get started on Phase I of construction on our historic chapter house. This includes foundation work to make the crawl space into livable space, some window replacement, and installation of the new flat roof. Starting with the foundation, there’s been a lot of digging going on:

With the foundation opened up a lot of the dirt from the crawl space has been cleared out, and the existing supporting columns are exposed:

And on the roof the existing floating deck has been largely removed and new materials have been delivered:
